Math (grades 1-9) & equivalents (i.e. adult learners)

Students seek out math tutoring up to the 9th grade level for several reasons:

  • Mature students (15 and older) may not have a good background in math and need it to finish high school, complete college course work, or pass some sort of test to enter higher education or complete a work credential

  • Students may have a strong background in math but want to improve themselves (i.e. a grade 5 student seeking out classes in grade 6 math before the upcoming semester)

  • Students may struggle with math for various reasons (i.e. learning disabilities, general lack of knowledge).

Approaches to addressing student problems

  • At this time, my only approach towards teaching math is to provide question sets for homework practice, as well as supplemental readings, and online instructions for how to complete math problems.
