Mature Learners: English ESL Classes (Ages 19+)

What Learners will Study/be Asked to Work on

Tutoring session activities may include (but are not limited to):

Reading and writing development
Speaking skills practice
Listening skills practice through podcasts, media, online tests, and music
Grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure work

The Class Process

Part 1: I provide (via Google Meet or email) around 3 hours (I try, but this is negotiable if the learner can't do that much) of homework for a learner to do before we meet for a session in the form of reading, writing, listening, speaking practice, or viewing (YouTube for example) materials.

Part 2: before the tutoring session starts, learners share with me their completed work

Part 3: during the tutoring session, we do the following: 1) review the completed homework and discuss it 2) work through different reading, writing, speaking or listening exercises 3) provide the learner with homework for them to review before next class

Part 4: Additional homework & resources may be sent later that same week for the learner to review. I request payment and start preparing for the next class. Once my prep work is done, I let them know that I'm ready to book the next session whenever they have finished the homework on their end.
